Cumin is antispasmodic and has a sedating effect and is effective against a cough or bronchial spasms. It is also used as a general stomach tonic. It increases thyroid function, can help reduce lymphatic congestion, ease edema and poor circulation. Cumin can be hot and an irritant, use cautiously and sparingly.
