Dill is a very effective carminative and settles dry heaves. Can be used as a general stomach tonic. Applied topically it can stimulate menstruation and increase lactation. Dill is a mucolytic and an anticatarrh, used as an inhalant when heavily congested or suffering from inflamed mucous membranes. Can be added sparingly to culinary items. Dill does contain ketones, use moderately during pregnancy and with babies and children.
