Labdanum is not a liquid oil. It is rather thick and viscous. It can be heated and diluted in a base oil or alcohol. Can be used in a duftlamp, not a diffusor.
Note that Cistus eo is the product of steam distillation of the entire plant, and Labdanum is made from the gum that comes to the surface when the plant is immersed in boiling water. Those waxes and resins are steam distilled.
This oil has a musky and smoky scent that is valuable in perfumery. It is sometimes marketed as synthetic ambergris and is a fixative. Used to aid in healing of inflamed skin, acne and boils. Also used as a general tonic for skin conditions, wrinkles and mature skin. As an inhalant to ease coughs, colds and bronchitis. Useful as an inhalant for childrenęs illnesses, like whooping cough and chicken pox. Labdanum is employed in rituals and therapies to uncover past lives and memories.
